Topics are order wise – The book has been organised in such a way that Topics appear in a perfect order, so that it is comfortable for students to understand the subject thoroughly.
- Detailed theory with examples – The theory has been written in simple and clear language. So, we advise the students to read the theory carefully before solving problems.
- Inclusion of 'Value' based questions - A lot of 'value' based questions have been included in the book. The motive behind these questions is to inculcate in students
some important values/life skills which will help them in the long run. - Inclusion of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) - There are so many questions, whose solutions involve some tricks or slight adjustments. It is not possible for a student to apply such tricks which he can never think of. We have included such questions as HOTS, with solutions.
- Presentation of solutions – Understanding a problem and writing its solution are altogether different things. Most of the time it happens that a student understands the problem, but is unable to express its solution in a desired way. Our examination system tests a student on the basis of what he has written on his answer sheet and not on the basis of what he has understood. As a result, he scores less marks. So, the solutions included in the book have been presented properly.
- Very Short Answer Type Questions have been given at the end of each chapter.
- Multiple Choice Questions are included at the end of each chapter.
- Summary, a brief recap of important concepts, is included at the end of each chapter.
- Inclusion of PSA (Problem Solving Assessment) - The CBSE Board has initiated a ‘Problem Solving Assessment’ (CBSE-PSA) for students of Class XI. It is compulsory for all the students of Class XI. The motive behind PSA is to incorporate in students the aspects of 21st Century skills (like Creative Thinking, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Communication) that lead to success in University studies. It shall also assess student’s ability to process, interpret and use information rather than assessing student’s prior subject matter knowledge. In this context, we have included the relevant details of PSA along with a Sample - PSA at the end of this book.
